Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the ClipCanyon app for macOS ("the app"), developed by Amit Raj ("the developer") and distributed through the Mac App Store. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. Because the app is delivered by Apple, Apple's Media Services Terms (including its standard licensed-application terms) also apply.

1. What the app is

ClipCanyon is a menu-bar clipboard manager. It keeps a local history of items you copy, detects their content type, and lets you pin, filter, preview, and manage them. All history is stored locally on your Mac; see the Privacy Policy.

2. Free tier and ClipCanyon Pro

• Free tier: shows up to 15 items in the menu and keeps up to 30 items in storage. Free of charge, no time limit.
• ClipCanyon Pro: a single one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase of $4.99 (or the equivalent in your local currency, as shown in the App Store). It unlocks up to 75 items shown in the menu and up to 200 items kept in storage. Pay once and it's yours — it is not a subscription and never renews or charges again.

Item limits and pricing may change for future versions; any change will be reflected in the app and on this site before it applies to new purchases.

3. Purchases and payment

The Pro unlock is sold entirely through Apple's App Store in-app purchase system (StoreKit). Your payment is processed by Apple under your Apple Account. The developer never sees or handles your payment details.

As a non-consumable purchase tied to your Apple Account, Pro can be restored on your other Macs or after reinstalling, using the app's restore-purchase option.

4. Refunds

The one-time purchase is non-refundable by the developer, except as provided by Apple's standard App Store refund policy. All refunds are requested from and decided by Apple, not the developer — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. The developer has no ability to issue, approve, or deny App Store refunds.

5. License

The developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Macs you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the app except where the law permits despite this term.

6. Acceptable use

You're responsible for what you copy and how you use your clipboard history. Don't use the app in a way that violates the law or the rights of others.

7. "As is" — no warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will capture every clipboard item. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, the developer's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim (which, for free-tier users, is zero).

A practical note: clipboard history can contain sensitive material. Use the Ignore Apps feature for apps like password managers, and clear your history when appropriate.

9. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. The developer may discontinue the app or its distribution; your Pro unlock remains associated with your Apple Account under Apple's terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
