Questions, answered.
What is ClipCanyon?
ClipCanyon is a clipboard manager for macOS. It sits in your menu bar and keeps a history of things you copy, so copying something new no longer erases the last thing. It automatically detects what each item is — URL, Email, Code, Number, Color, or plain Text — and lets you pin favorites, filter by category, and preview long entries by hovering.
It's a native Swift/SwiftUI app, distributed on the Mac App Store.
Where do I find my clipboard history?
In your Mac's menu bar — the status bar at the top-right of your screen. Click the ClipCanyon icon and your recent copies appear in a list. Click any item to copy it back to the clipboard, ready to paste. If you don't see the icon, check that the app is running, and note that macOS hides overflow menu-bar icons on smaller screens.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The free tier shows your last 15 items in the menu and keeps up to 30 items in storage. ClipCanyon Pro raises that to 75 items shown and 200 kept. Everything else — type detection, pins, filters, previews, Ignore Apps — is included in both.
Pro is a single $4.99 one-time purchase. It is not a subscription: pay once, own it forever.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Inside the app, choose the upgrade option and complete the purchase with your Apple Account. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store — we never see your payment details. Because it's a non-consumable purchase, you can restore it on another Mac or after reinstalling using the app's restore-purchase option.
Is my clipboard data private?
Yes — this is the core of how ClipCanyon is built. Your history is stored only on your Mac and never sent to any server. The app makes no network requests of its own; the only network activity is Apple's own purchase handling if you buy Pro. There are no analytics, no trackers, no ads, no accounts, and no data collection of any kind.
The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I stop ClipCanyon from monitoring a specific app?
Use the Ignore Apps feature in ClipCanyon's settings and add the app — a password manager is the classic example. Anything copied while that app is active never enters your history. You can also clear your entire history at any time from within the app.
How do I get a refund?
All purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account you purchased with. Apple decides refund requests under its standard App Store policy; the developer can't issue or approve refunds directly. More in our Terms of Service.
How do I contact support?
Email [email protected] — that's the same address the app's "Contact Support" button uses. Found something broken? The Report a bug page helps you send everything we need to fix it.
